You can use Kinect to redeem a printed Xbox One gift card, giveaway or any other QR code accompanying a promotion. You can still type in the code manually if you wish.
Call out to the Xbox Kinect using the voice command, 'Xbox, Use a Code.' This will activate the Kinect to view the room you are in. Hold up the retail code that you purchased at a retail store, such as Target or GameStop, which will be in the form of a QR code.
